Safety Spring Feature is a positive locking feature preventing the Lock Mandrel to unlock due to some forces caused by well conditions.
Shear Pin is installed prior to running the Lock into the well, once set, the Shear Pin lodges itself between the Expander Sleeve and Key Retainer, creating positive feature.
Lock Mandrels are available in a variety of Materials, suitable for down-hole conditions.
Norm Alloy is suitable for H2S Service (NACE MR-01-75, Latest Revision)
