The Rebco RB is a shear-up, short-reach pulling tool for external fishing necks and is the short-reach member of Rebco's R-Series pulling tool family. The R-Series is distinguished from the JU-Series primarily by its core and dog geometry, which is matched to a different set of sub-surface device fishing neck profiles, particularly those on lock mandrels, instrument hangers, and other devices whose fishing neck OD and shoulder geometry are matched to the R-Series dog profile rather than the JU-Series.

The RB's dogs engage the fishing neck as the tool passes over it, and upward tension is applied to retrieve the device. If the device is stuck, an upward jar shears the internal pin, releasing the dogs and freeing the tool string. The short-reach core is selected when the fishing neck sits at a shallow depth within the sub-surface device assembly. The R and S Series cores are interchangeable for replacement; only the core needs to be changed to obtain a different reach, as illustrated in the comparative core chart in Section IV of the product description.

Available in nominal sizes 1" through 4" with alloy construction and a full complement of field accessories.
