The Rebco ROTC-2 Running Tool performs the same fundamental function as the ROTC-1, locating selective seal profiles and landing accessories equipped with ROTS-1 or ROTS-2 Lock Sub-Assemblies, but employs a fundamentally different locating mechanism. Rather than relying on a Locating Ring, the ROTC-2 uses the natural spring flexibility of its integral collet fingers to sense and engage the correct seal bore profile as the tool string passes through the completion string.

As the ROTC-2 is lowered, the collet fingers are compressed inward by the tubing bore. When the tool reaches a seal bore that matches the collet's expanded OD, the fingers snap outward into the profile recess, providing both a tactile indication at the surface and a positive mechanical location of the correct nipple. This self-locating collet design eliminates the need to preselect and install a separate locating ring, making the ROTC-2 a faster, more convenient option for single-zone or straightforward selective completion applications.

Available in nominal sizes 1.900" through 3½", covering accessory sizes from 1.43" to 2.81". All sizes feature alloy construction.
