ROTFSG-2 Plug Choke with Removable Mandrel (Selective)

The Rebco ROTFSG-2 Plug Choke with Removable Mandrel is a positive blank-off device designed to seal off pressure from both above and below. It is a Top No-Go and Selective device designed to be set in BF Landing Nipples and the upper seal bore of the ROTL Sliding Sleeve. The removable mandrel design means the mandrel body can be run and pulled independently of the sealing element, giving the operator greater flexibility than a conventional plug choke. The plug requires two runs to be set, and it must be run with the upward-facing Dogs (locks) trailing; if run selectively with both sets of Locks collapsed, a ROTE or ROTC-2 Running Tool must be used.

The ROTFSG-2 covers a nominal size range of 1.900" through 3-1/2", with seal bores from 1.437" to 2.562", and is constructed from Alloy material throughout. Both ROTC-1 and ROTBG Running Tools can be used, with the ROTC-1 requiring a Locator Ring specific to the seal bore size. Retrieval is performed using a choice of Shear Down tools (SB or JDC) or Shear Up tools (ROTRB or JUC), with the ROTA Pulling Probe specified by nominal tubing size. A Redress Kit supplying V-Packing (6 pieces) is available and is referenced for each size. Important pulling cautions apply: the SB Pulling Tool will not pass through the 1.437" seal bore, and the JDC and JUC tools cannot pass through 1.781" or 1.812" seal bores; these restrictions must be accounted for when planning the retrieval operation.

How to Order: Product Code 21 or 22. Specify nominal size, seal bore size, Running Tool type (ROTC-1 with Locator Ring or ROTBG), Pulling Tool type (Shear Down SB or JDC, Shear Up ROTRB or JUC), material, and Pulling Probe (ROTA size). Note pulling tool bore-pass restrictions when specifying retrieval tools. Refer to Pages XVI-23 through XVI-27.
