ROTHR Hydraulic (Soft Release) Running Tool Assembly
The Rebco ROTHR Hydraulic Soft Release Running Tool sets ROTXNS and ROTRNS Soft Set Bomb Instrument Hangers into their respective ROTX and ROTR Landing Nipple profiles. As the name implies, the ROTHR uses a hydraulic soft-release mechanism to engage and release the instrument hanger, meaning the tool sets the hanger and releases it hydraulically rather than mechanically. This is particularly important for Soft Set Bomb Instrument Hangers, which by design do not require jarring to be seated, and where the associated pressure and temperature recording instruments would be at risk of damage from conventional jar-down release methods.
The operator chooses between the ROTHR and the mechanical equivalent (ROTMR) based on well conditions and operational preference. Available in nominal sizes 2" through 4½".
How to Order: Available in assembly numbers from 4106132000 (2") to 4106134500 (4½"). Specify nominal size. ROTMR is available as a mechanical alternative; please specify when ordering.
