ROTMR Mechanical (Soft Release) Running Tool Assembly
The Rebco ROTMR Mechanical Soft Release Running Tool is the mechanical counterpart to the ROTHR, performing the same function as the ROTHR: setting ROTXNS and ROTRNS Soft Set Bomb Instrument Hangers into their respective landing nipple profiles, but via a mechanical rather than hydraulic mechanism. The ROTMR is typically selected when well conditions make hydraulic release less desirable, or when operator preference and tool availability favour a mechanically simpler design. In all other respects, the operational procedure and application of the ROTMR mirrors that of the ROTHR. Available in nominal sizes 2" through 3½".
