ROTX Lock Mandrel Assembly
The Rebco ROTX Lock Mandrel is a Selective Set Lock designed to land and set in a ROTX Landing Nipple of the same size. It covers a size range of 1.250" through 4.562", making it one of the smallest-bore selective locks in the Rebco line, beginning at 1.250". The ROTX profile is distinct from the ROTR profile, meaning the two families of locks and nipples are not interchangeable; each lock must be paired with a nipple of the same ROTX designation.
For sizes up to 2.875", the standard Product Code 10 applies; for larger sizes from 3.313" through 4.562", Rebco supplies the Product Code 18 Safety Spring configuration. The Safety Spring feature prevents the lock from releasing due to forces generated by well conditions, and the Shear Pin is installed prior to running, then lodges itself between the Expander Sleeve and Key Retainer once the lock is set, creating a positive locking condition. Rebco also offers Check Set Tools (Product Code 41) for all ROTX locks, which allow the operator to confirm the lock is properly seated in the nipple before proceeding with the completion operation. The ROTX is run using the ROTX Running Tool and retrieved using the ROTGR Pulling Tool.
How to Order: Product Code 10 (standard, 1.250" to 2.875"), or Product Code 18 (Safety Spring, 3.313" to 4.562"). Specify nipple seal bore size, material, and service conditions. Product Code 17 (Interference Hold Down) is available for 1.875" and 2.313" seal bores.
