The Rebco BW Bomb Well is an instrument carrier assembly designed to physically enclose and protect recording instruments from damage during the wireline trip into and out of the wellbore. While a recording instrument deployed on a bare Hanger Sub is exposed to the full mechanical environment of the tubing bore, debris, restrictions, sand accumulations, and jarring shock loads, the BW Bomb Well surrounds the instrument in a protective outer housing with an internal spring system that suspends the instrument away from the housing walls. This spring suspension absorbs jarring and impact loads before they reach the instrument, significantly reducing the risk of damage to delicate mechanical clocks, bourdon tube gauges, and electronic sensors.

When ordering a BW Bomb Well, the OD and length of the instrument must be specified, as the Bomb Well is sized to closely match the instrument dimensions to provide effective suspension and protection without excessive clearance or restriction.
