Equalizing Prong ROTPRR Plug Choke Assembly

The Rebco Equalizing Prong ROTPRR Plug Choke Assembly, when landed in a ROTR Landing Nipple of the same size, plugs off the nipple and the tubing and can withstand pressure differentials from both above and below. The ROTPRR is made up of a ROTR Lock Mandrel (Product Code 10, 17, or 18) and a ROTPR Equalizing Prong and Valve Sub-Assembly with Cap (Product Code 20), and requires two runs to be fully set; it is strongly recommended that a Check Set Tool be run before the Equalizing Prong is run in place, to confirm the Lock Mandrel is correctly seated. It covers nipple seal bores from 1.710" through 4.562" in the standard catalogue, with 5.875" and 5.963" sizes available on inquiry.

The distinction between the ROTPRR and the single-run ROTRR is that the Equalizing Prong itself forms part of the pressure-holding mechanism, entering the Lock Mandrel sub-assembly and seating its V-Packing against the bore to create a full bidirectional seal. The Prong Fishing Neck sizes range from 1.187" at the smallest seal bores to 3.125" at the largest, and Prong Running and Pulling Tools vary by size and must be specified correctly. Equalizing Prong lengths can be ordered to suit special depth or tool string requirements. All sizes are constructed from Norm Alloy certified for H2S service per NACE MR-01-75.

How to Order: Product Code 21. Specify nipple seal bore size, Lock Mandrel type (Product Code 10, 17, or 18), Prong Fishing Neck size, Prong Running and Pulling Tool number, Prong length (standard or special), material, and service conditions. Refer to Pages XVI-12 through XVI-14 for engineering data. For sizes 5.875" and 5.963", contact Rebco directly.
