RNH & ROH Instrument Hanger Assembly
The Rebco RNH and ROH Instrument Hangers are purpose-built to deploy recording instruments into ROTRN and ROTR Landing Nipples, respectively, the most widely used selective nipple profiles in Rebco equipped completions. The RNH targets ROTRN nipples while the ROH targets ROTR nipples, and both hangers are built on the same structural design: a Lock Mandrel Assembly paired with a Protector Sleeve and a lower Hanger Sub.
A notable design distinction from the BF/BR-type hangers is that the RNH and ROH Lock Mandrels do not require a Seal Stack or O-Ring Seal. Instead of sealing against the nipple bore, these hangers use a Protector Sleeve, a tubular sleeve that slips over the packing mandrel area to shield it from the nipple bore surface during the setting and retrieval process, minimizing wear and damage to the mandrel's elastomeric components. This makes the RNH and ROH well-suited for frequent survey operations where the hanger is run and pulled repeatedly over the life of the well.
Both hangers are run using the ROTR Running Tool (Section III) and retrieved using the ROTGR Pulling Tool (Section IV). They are available in nominal sizes from 2⅜" through 5½", covering seal bore sizes from 1.781" to 4.562", in both Amerada and Sucker Rod box thread connections. All assemblies are manufactured from normal alloy material to NACE MR-01-75 (1980 Rev.) for sour service compatibility. Parts for the lock mandrels are available separately.
How to Order: Specify RNH (for ROTRN nipples) or ROH (for ROTR nipples), nominal size, seal bore size, and box thread connection (Amerada ¾"–16 or Sucker Rod 15/16"–10). Non-standard sizes and alternative materials available on request.
