ROTTS Collar Lock Mandrel Sub-Assembly
The Rebco ROTTS is a Collar Lock Mandrel Sub-Assembly designed to be set in API Tubing Collars, covering nominal tubing sizes of 2 3/8", 2 7/8", and 3 1/2". It is functionally based on the ROTS-2 Lock Mandrel Sub-Assembly but incorporates modified Keys that allow the lock to locate in API tubing collars rather than machined nipple profiles. Like the ROTS-2, the ROTTS is a selective lock with bidirectional Dogs that prevent movement in both upward and downward directions once set.
The ROTTS is available as a complete sub-assembly and is used wherever the ROTS-2 function is needed in wells without Landing Nipples. Required Running and Pulling Tools with appropriate Probes depend on the accessory attached to the subassembly, and are specified in the engineering data for each size. All sizes are constructed from Alloy material.
