JB Junk Basket - Valve Catcher

The Rebco JB Junk Basket - Valve Catcher is engineered to be set in a No-Go type Landing Nipple, positioned directly below the Side Pocket Mandrel. It is primarily used in gas lift operations during the changeout of gas lift or dummy valves. If a valve is accidentally dropped, the Catcher securely traps it, preventing damage to the equipment below.

Applications

  • Recovering loose metallic debris, shear pin fragments, split ring pieces, and broken tool components from the wellbore

  • Cleaning the top of a subsurface device before a pulling run to prevent debris from jamming the pulling tool

  • Post-failure debris recovery to identify the cause of a downhole tool failure from the pieces recovered.
