- HO Heavy Duty Rope Socket Assembly - Threaded Connection | Rebco Oil Tools, Inc.
Glossary HO Heavy Duty Rope Socket Assembly - Threaded Connection HO Heavy Duty Rope Socket Assembly - Threaded Connection The Rebco HO Heavy Duty Rope Socket is a high-load rope socket designed for demanding wireline applications. The wireline is passed through the body and into a purpose-built clamp sub-assembly, where socket screws mechanically trap and retain the wire with maximum holding force. The clamp design distributes load across the wire cross-section more evenly than a knot or disc wrap, making it the preferred choice for heavy fishing operations, aggressive jarring programs, or any application where conventional rope socket designs may be insufficient. Available in standard threaded connections, 1½"–2½" OD. - OTHER TYPES OF PLUG CHOKES | Rebco Oil Tools, Inc.
Glossary OTHER TYPES OF PLUG CHOKES OTHER TYPES OF PLUG CHOKES D. Circulating Type Chokes for Nipples (Product Code 20) Circulating Chokes restrict fluid flow in the tubing string and permit circulation from above, making them the tool of choice for flow measurement and production rate management. The restriction is created by a Bean (designated by a 64ths-of-an-inch orifice) seated in the choke body; a wide range of orifice sizes is available, allowing the operator to calibrate the flow rate to the well's specific requirements. Circulating Chokes are also commonly used to reduce production intentionally when full-rate flow is not desirable. Types available include ROTAX , ROTAR , ROTFWT , and ROTRZT . How to Order: Product Code 20. Specify nipple profile type, seal bore size, material, and Bean orifice size in 64ths of an inch. E. Circulating Blanking Plugs for Nipples (Product Code 20) Circulating Blanking Plugs hold pressure from below while allowing circulation from above, and can be held open to bypass fluid freely while running or pulling the plug. An internal valve is depressed during run-in and pull-out to allow fluid bypass, reducing hydraulic drag on the tool string. Types available include ROTCX , ROTCR , ROTFSB , ROTFWB , ROTRZB , ROTFGB , ROTFMB , and ROTRKB , covering the full range of BF , BR , and related nipple profiles in the Rebco completion system. How to Order: Product Code 20. Specify the nipple profile type, seal bore size, and required material. F. Pump-Through Plugs (Product Code 21) Pump-Through Plugs hold pressure from below while allowing fluid to be pumped downward through the plug assembly from above, without requiring the plug to be pulled. This allows the operator to displace fluids below the plug, stimulate a zone, or perform injection operations without first removing the plug with a wireline trip. Types available include RXO , RXN , XRO , and XRN , selected based on the nipple profile and seal bore size. How to Order: Product Code 21. Specify the nipple profile, seal bore size, and required material. G. Plug Chokes for Tubing (Product Code 20) Plug Chokes for Tubing are designed to withstand limited pressure differentials while allowing circulation from above in wells where no Landing Nipples are present, and set directly in the tubing bore. They are the tubing-set equivalent of the nipple-set circulating choke family, and the types available include ROTCW , ROTDW , ROTDD , and ROTCD , each suited to specific tubing sizes and pressure-holding requirements. How to Order: Product Code 20. Specify tubing size, type ( ROTCW , ROTDW , ROTDD , or ROTCD ), seal bore size, and material required. - JDC Pulling Tool (Short Reach) Assembly | Rebco Oil Tools, Inc.
Glossary JDC Pulling Tool (Short Reach) Assembly JDC Pulling Tool (Short Reach) Assembly The Rebco JDC is a shear-down, short-reach pulling tool designed to retrieve sub-surface devices with external fishing necks in applications where the fishing neck is positioned close to the top of the device, meaning a shorter reach is both sufficient and preferred. The JDC engages the external fishing neck by allowing its dogs to snap over and behind the fishing neck shoulder as the tool is lowered over the device. Once latched, upward tension on the wireline lifts the device from its set position. If the device is stuck and cannot be freed, a firm downward jar stroke shears the internal shear pin, collapsing the dogs inward and releasing the JDC from the fishing neck, allowing the tool string to be retrieved without the device. The short-reach configuration of the JDC means the distance between the bottom of the core and the dog-engaging surface is intentionally minimized, making the JDC the correct choice when the gap between the top of the landing nipple and the fishing neck is small, or when working in completions with closely spaced nipples where a long-reach tool risks engaging the wrong fishing neck. Changing the core is all that is required to obtain a different reach within the same nominal size; no full tool replacement is necessary. Available in nominal sizes 1¼" through 4", engaging fishing neck ODs from 0.875" to 3.125". Alloy construction throughout. How to Order: Available in assembly numbers from 400703021250 (1¼") to 400703024000 (4"). - ROTJ Running Tool Assembly | Rebco Oil Tools, Inc.
Glossary ROTJ Running Tool Assembly ROTJ Running Tool Assembly The Rebco ROTJ Running Tool is a direct-shear-pin engagement running tool designed specifically for setting sub-surface devices with external fishing necks. The ROTJ connects to the device by threading a shear pin through the running tool body and into the fishing neck of the sub-surface device, holding the two together as a single unit during the trip downhole. Once the device reaches its target depth and is properly seated within the landing nipple, an upward jar stroke shears the retaining pin, freeing the running tool from the device and allowing the tool string to be retrieved to the surface. The ROTJ is a straightforward, reliable tool valued for its simplicity. There are no collet fingers, no latching dogs, and no hydraulic components to service. The running neck ID, which determines the size of the fishing neck the ROTJ will engage, varies by the type of sub-surface tool being installed. Operators should specify the fishing neck size or tool type when ordering to ensure proper fit. Available in nominal sizes ¾" through 4", with lengths ranging from 2.44" to 5.62". All sizes feature alloy construction with matched-pitch pin threads and fishing-neck connections. How to Order: Specify the nominal size and fishing neck size, or the tool type, when ordering, as the running neck ID varies by sub-surface device. Assembly numbers range from 410736 (¾") to 410725 (4"). Contact Rebco if the standard ROTJ is not suitable for the specific fishing neck configuration. Product Code: 14 REQUEST A QUOTE DOWNLOAD DATASHEET ROTR & ROTX Selective Test Tool Assembly ROTR & ROTX Selective Test Tool Assembly Click here Applications Multi-zone tubing pressure testing in completions with multiple ROTR/ROTRN Landing Nipples, testing each zone in a single wireline run Targeted leak location in a specific tubing zone without having to test from the bottom up Setting high-pressure hydraulic packers requiring seal integrity above and below the set depth Any application where selective placement among multiple same-size nipples is operationally required Key Benefits The selective locking mechanism allows precise nipple targeting in multi-nipple completions, with no risk of inadvertently setting in the wrong nipple. Multi-nipple repositioning in a single run eliminates additional wireline trips, a major time- and cost-saving in multi-zone testing programs. Among the highest pressure ratings in the Rebco test tool range, up to 18,500 psi against ROTR nipples SSJ Pulling Tool provides both running and retrieving capability, a single tool for the complete operation Compatible with both ROTR and ROTRN nipple profiles in the same assembly The Keys (retracted); the tool is run to a point below the desired compatible nipple, pulling up through the nipple releases the locking keys to set the tool. Pressure from above may then be applied. The process can be repeated with next nipple up the tubing string, thus eliminating number of Wireline trips. Rebco ROTX Selective Test Tool selectively locates and lands in ROTX Landing Nipples and/or Type ROTX Sliding Sleeve of the same size within a tubing string. The No-Go shoulder, also allows the Tool to be set into the ROTXN , No-Go Landing Nipple. The Test Tool is designed to hold pressure differential from above only. Installed or retrieved by standard Wireline procedure, the Tool can be set in the Landing Nipple, or repeatedly moved to the next higher Nipple of the same size. The pressure is equalized across the Test Tool by picking up the Drop with a Pulling Tool attached to the Fishing Neck.
