    Glossary DO & DD Tubular Jar Assembly DO & DD Tubular Jar Assembly DO Tubular Jar (Threaded) The Rebco DO Tubular Jar consists of a perforated outer tube for fluid bypass and an inner telescoping mandrel connected to the fishing neck at the top. The mandrel extends or collapses within the tube by manipulating the wireline at the surface, producing upward or downward jarring action. The perforated tube design allows wellbore fluid to bypass freely as the mandrel travels, reducing the fluid resistance that can dampen jar action in debris-laden or contaminated wellbores, making the tubular jar especially effective in large tubing and casing environments, and in wells where debris or foreign matter in the fluid column would stall a link-type jar. The impact intensity is proportional to stem weight and stroke length. Available with various stroke lengths and optional double fishing neck, in standard threaded connections, ½"–2½" OD. DD Tubular Jar (RQLD) The Rebco DD Tubular Jar is the RQLD quick-lock version of the Rebco DO , combining the same fluid-bypass tubular construction with Rebco's double-shoulder quick-lock connection for faster assembly.     Glossary ROTFB-2 Equalizing Check Valve Assembly ROTFB-2 Equalizing Check Valve Assembly The Rebco ROTFB-2 is an Equalizing Check Valve (Standing Valve) designed to be set into ROTF Landing Nipple profiles. Its fundamental function is one-way flow control: it prevents downward fluid flow through the nipple while allowing full, unrestricted upward flow, the defining behaviour of a standing valve used in tubing testing and fluid control applications. The ROTFB-2 is not mechanically locked into the nipple profile. Instead, the No-Go shoulder built into the Packing Mandrel seats against the bottom of the ROTF nipple bore, and the nipple's No-Go shoulder prevents any downward movement of the assembly. This means the tool rests and seals on its No-Go, which cannot be pushed through, but it is not latched or locked in place by keys or slips. To protect the packer elements and ensure a safe retrieval, the ROTFB-2 incorporates a built-in equalizing feature that equalizes wellbore pressure across the check valve before the pulling tool breaks the packing seal and the assembly is retrieved to surface. Attempting to pull the ROTFB-2 without equalizing first would subject the pulling tool and wireline to the full differential pressure across the valve, potentially causing a dangerous condition. Available in nominal sizes 2⅜" through 4½", covering seal bore sizes from 1.781" to 3.813". Run using the ROTC-1 Running Tool; retrieved using the SB Pulling Tool or JDC Pulling Tool, both selected by nominal size. Available in a variety of materials to suit downhole conditions.     Glossary SP Sand Pump (Bailer) Assembly SP Sand Pump (Bailer) Assembly The Rebco SP Sand Pump Bailer is a pump-action debris recovery tool that removes accumulated sand, scale, loose solids, and wellbore debris from the tubing or casing bore using a conventional reciprocating piston lift-pump mechanism. The tool consists of a top sub with a fishing neck, a piston assembly within the main barrel, and an interchangeable bottom valve shoe, available in ball, flapper, or junk-catcher configurations to suit different debris types and wellbore conditions. As the tool string is alternately lowered and raised at the surface, the piston moves up and down within the barrel: on the downstroke, the bottom valve opens, and debris-laden fluid enters the barrel below the piston; on the upstroke, the bottom valve closes, and the piston lifts the captured material upward within the barrel, loading the tool for retrieval. For large-volume debris accumulations where a single barrel capacity is insufficient, the Sand Pump Bailer can be converted to a tandem configuration by connecting a double-pin sub and an additional barrel below the primary unit, effectively doubling the recovery volume without requiring an additional wireline run. The operator should move the tool slowly downward onto the debris accumulation and then raise it sharply and repeatedly to maximize pump efficiency. At least 15 pump strokes are recommended before retrieving the tool to assess recovery. If debris has hardened or compacted to a point where pump action alone is insufficient, chemical solvents or mechanical loosening by light jar-down action prior to bailer deployment can improve results. Available with ball-type, flapper-type, or junk-catcher-type bottom shoe configurations, all of which are also available with optional mule shoe bottoms for guided approach. Standard barrel length is 5 ft. Available in 1½"–3" OD.     Glossary ROTFMH Plug Choke with Removable Mandrel (Top No-Go) ROTFMH Plug Choke with Removable Mandrel (Top No-Go) The Rebco ROTFMH Plug Choke with Removable Mandrel is a positive blank-off device designed to seal off pressure from both above and below, and is the large-bore Top No-Go removable mandrel plug in the BF Landing Nipple family. It is a Top No-Go device designed to be set in BF Landing Nipples and the upper seal bore of the ROTL Sliding Sleeve, and covers nipple seal bore sizes of 2.750", 2.813", 3.688", 3.750", and 3.813". The plug requires two runs to be set. Running and pulling are performed using the ROTGS Running and Pulling Tool, with the ROTM Running and Pulling Prong for the mandrel and the SB Equalizing Prong Running and Pulling Tool for the equalization prong. All sizes are constructed from Norm Alloy certified for H2S service per NACE MR-01-75. The ROTFMH extends the removable mandrel plug capability into the larger bore range that the ROTFWG family does not cover, spanning from 2.750" to 3.813" seal bore. The Lock Mandrel Fishing Neck sizes are 2.31" for the 2.750" and 2.813" seal bores, and 3.12" for the 3.688", 3.750", and 3.813" seal bores, with Equalizing Prong Fishing Neck sizes of 2.313" and 3.125" respectively.     Glossary AO, AD & AS Link Jar Assembly AO, AD & AS Link Jar Assembly AO Link Jar (Threaded) The Rebco AO Link Jar is the main working tool of the wireline tool string. It consists of two interlocking alloy steel links, similar in design to elongated chain links, that are free to telescope open (extend) or collapse when the wireline at the surface is manipulated. When the operator pulls up on the wireline, the links extend rapidly until the upper link shoulder contacts the lower link shoulder, delivering a sharp upward impact blow to everything below. When the operator releases tension and allows the string to drop, the links collapse, and the fishing neck strikes downward, delivering a downward impact blow. The intensity of the jarring impact is directly proportional to the weight of the stem installed above the jars, the selected stroke length, and wellbore conditions such as fluid viscosity and deviation. Upward jarring is generally more powerful than downward jarring because line speed can be increased by spooling faster at the surface unit, while downward jarring is limited to the speed of free gravity fall. Available in 20" or 30" stroke lengths, in standard threaded connections, ¾"–2½" OD. AD Link Jar (RQLD) The Rebco AD Link Jar is the RQLD double-shoulder quick-lock version of the Rebco AO Link Jar, providing all the same upward and downward jarring capability with the speed and safety of Rebco 's Quick Lock System. The double-shoulder design distributes jarring impact loads across multiple contact surfaces, providing superior strength under high cyclic impact loads compared to single-shoulder connections. Available in RQLD connections, 1¼"–2½" OD. AS Link Jar (RQLS) The Rebco AS Link Jar is the RQLS single-shoulder quick-lock version of the Rebco AO Link Jar, designed for lighter-duty applications where the full double-shoulder heavy-duty connection is not required.     Glossary GR Pulling Tool Assembly GR Pulling Tool Assembly The Rebco GR is a shear-up internal-fishing-neck pulling tool most commonly used to retrieve ROTGR -profile devices, specifically instrument hangers, soft-set bomb hangers ( ROTRNS , ROTXNS ), and other BHP-related sub-surface equipment that feature internal fishing necks matched to the GR core geometry. The GR 's core/prong assembly enters the device bore, latches onto the internal fishing neck, and the device is retrieved by applying upward tension. A downward jar is used to release the GR from a stuck device — note that despite being commonly categorized with shear-up tools, operators should verify the specific release direction for the GR configuration when ordering. The GR is the standard retrieval tool listed in Rebco 's BHP Instrument Hanger (Section VI) accessory tables and is therefore one of the most frequently referenced pulling tools in the entire catalogue. How to Order: Available in assembly numbers from the ROTGR series (e.g., 40051318700, 40051323100, 40051327500, 40051336804, 40051345600 and others). Specify the nominal size and confirm that the ROTGR profile matches the instrument hanger being retrieved. Pulling Prong ordered separately, specify the instrument hanger type and nominal size.     Glossary ROTPR Equalizing Prong and Valve Sub-Assembly ROTPR Equalizing Prong and Valve Sub-Assembly The Rebco ROTPR Equalizing Prong and Valve Sub-Assembly is a more advanced equalizing device that, when attached to a ROTR or ROTRN Lock Mandrel Assembly, converts the lock mandrel into a full Plug Choke with an integrated equalizing device, capable of holding pressure differentials from both above and below. This is the critical distinction from the standard ROTR Equalizing Valve Sub-Assembly: where the ROTR equalizing sub simply bleeds off pressure before retrieval, the ROTPR creates a bidirectional pressure-holding plug choke that remains set in the nipple and actively manages pressure in both directions. The ROTPR covers nipple seal bores from 1.781" through 5.963", making it the broadest-range equalizing sub-assembly in the Rebco line. The ROTPR incorporates a Prong that extends below the valve assembly; the Prong Fishing Neck provides the engagement point for the Prong Running and Pulling Tool, which is used to set and retrieve the prong independently of the lock mandrel. The V-Packing OD varies by size, from .818" at the smallest seal bore up to 2.313" at the largest, and Prong lengths range from 22.4" for the smallest sizes through 52.62" for the 5.875" seal bore. The Prong Running and Pulling Tool also varies by size and must be specified correctly when ordering. All sizes are constructed from Norm Alloy, certified for H2S service per NACE MR-01-75.     Glossary OM-1 Kick-Over Tool Assembly OM-1 Kick-Over Tool Assembly The Rebco OM Series Kickover Tools are wireline service tools used to install compatible 1½-in. OD side-pocket subsurface-control devices in Camco side-pocket mandrels equipped with an orienting sleeve, or to retrieve those devices during well intervention operations. Used with the appropriate running or pulling tool, the kickover assembly uses a locating finger and kick springs to orient the tool string with the mandrel’s side pocket and position the attached service tool for installation or retrieval. The arm housing helps protect the kickover assembly and attached device during operation. A spacer bar is required for retrieval applications, and a knuckle joint is recommended directly above the kickover tool.     Glossary ROTF Equalizing Sub ROTF Equalizing Sub The Rebco ROTF Equalizing Sub is designed for use with subsurface controls such as Lock Mandrels, covering nominal sizes of 2", 2-1/2", and 3". Unlike the ROTB and ROTH , which use a single orifice plate, the ROTF can be supplied with either 2 or 3 Orifice Ports, providing a higher combined equalization flow area and faster pressure bleed-off for applications that require a larger, more rapid equalization pathway. Like the ROTB and ROTH , the ROTF requires a running or pulling equalizing prong to operate. The ROTF is used in the same nominal size range and thread connection system as the ROTB and ROTH , and is available in a variety of materials suited to downhole conditions. The choice between 2 or 3 ports is typically driven by the expected pressure differential and the desired equalization time; higher differentials or time-sensitive operations may benefit from the 3-port configuration. How to Order: Product Code 20. Specify nominal size (2", 2-1/2", or 3"), number of orifice ports (2 or 3), material, and service conditions. An equalizing prong is required for operation and must be specified separately.
