BR Landing Nipple

The Rebco BR seating Nipple is a bottom no-go, non-selective seating nipple designed to provide a positive landing, locking, and sealing location for compatible downhole flow-control equipment.

The BR profile incorporates a machined no-go shoulder at the lower end of the seal-bore section. When a compatible bottom no-go lock mandrel or tool is deployed, its no-go outside diameter contacts this shoulder, preventing the assembly from travelling farther down the tubing string. The tool is thereby located at the intended depth, where it can engage the locking profile and establish the required seal. Unlike a selective system, a bottom no-go assembly does not rely on passing multiple matching profiles and then being engaged by an upward pull at a selected location.

Within a completion string, the BR is typically installed at the deepest designated landing point, with Rebco BF selective nipples located above it where selective placement of additional devices is required. This arrangement provides a positive bottom stop while allowing compatible selective tools to be deployed and set at higher BF locations.

The BR seating Nipple is intended for use with Rebco ROTRB-2 Equalizing Check Valves, ROTN Non-Selective Test Tools, and other compatible bottom no-go lock-mandrel assemblies designed for the BR profile. Available for tubing outside diameters from 1.660 in. through 7⅝ in., the nipple is manufactured with an external diameter matched to the applicable tubing-joint or coupling profile.
