BR Landing Nipple
The Rebco BR Bottom No-Go Non-Ported Seating Nipple provides a positive landing and sealing location for compatible wireline-deployed flow-control equipment, including blanking plugs, safety valves, check valves, chokes, circulating plugs, and instrument hangers. Its bottom no-go shoulder helps prevent tool loss during wireline operations, while the polished seal bore and integral locking groove support reliable sealing and retention. Available in multiple material and dimensional configurations, the nipple can be matched to the applicable tubing and coupling profile.
Product Code: 11
Applications
The Rebco BR Bottom No-Go Seating Nipple is designed to locate and retain compatible wireline-deployed flow-control equipment in the production tubing string. Typical applications include:
Installing blanking plugs for well isolation or production-tubing pressure testing.
Landing velocity-operated subsurface safety valves.
Positioning equalizing check valves and circulating blanking plugs.
Installing downhole chokes for controlled pressure reduction and to help reduce the risk of surface freezing during gas production.
Supporting instrument hangers equipped with downhole pressure and temperature recording devices.
Providing a bottom landing point that can help prevent the loss of a wireline toolstring if tools are accidentally dropped or released during running or retrieval operations.
Key Benefits
Material flexibility: Available in material grades suitable for a variety of well environments and completion requirements, subject to the specified service conditions.
Finished seal bore: The contoured and polished seal bore supports smooth passage and reliable sealing of compatible packing elements.
Integrated locking profile: An internal locking groove provides positive engagement for compatible bottom no-go locking devices.
Tubing-compatible outside diameter: The nipple’s outside diameter is matched to the applicable coupling profile, with mechanical properties comparable to N-80 tubing or higher.
Turned-down configuration: Reduced-diameter versions can be supplied to correspond with turned-down N-80 couplings in both dimensional profile and material performance.
Tool-retention feature: The bottom no-go shoulder provides a positive landing point and helps catch compatible wireline tools that are inadvertently dropped or released during deployment or retrieval.
