- ROTRX Running Tool Assembly | Rebco Oil Tools, Inc.
Glossary ROTRX Running Tool Assembly ROTRX Running Tool Assembly The Rebco ROTRX Running Tool is a dog-engagement running tool that extends the capabilities of the ROTR by also setting ROTRQ , ROTRPT , ROTRNT , ROTX , and ROTXN Lock Mandrels, in addition to the standard ROTR and ROTRN types. This broader compatibility makes the ROTRX particularly valuable on completions where multiple lock mandrel types are present in the same wellbore, allowing the operator to reduce the number of different running tools required on the service unit. The ROTRX is most commonly used for installations in the uppermost landing nipples of the completion string, particularly when tubing- or wireline-retrievable safety valves are being installed or serviced. Its operational mechanics mirror those of the ROTR . The lock mandrel keys can be placed in either the control or locating position, depending on whether a selective or No-Go set is required. Available in nominal sizes from 1.375" to 4.813". How to Order: Available in assembly numbers from 41182012500 (1.250") through 41182048100 (4.813"). Specify nominal size when ordering. Assembly and test sleeves are available as accessories. - ROTRN Lock Mandrel Assembly | Rebco Oil Tools, Inc.
Glossary ROTRN Lock Mandrel Assembly ROTRN Lock Mandrel Assembly The Rebco ROTRN Lock Mandrel is closely related to the ROTR , but features chamfered Keys. When a Bottom Sub is added to the assembly, it converts to a No-Go Lock Mandrel, making it suitable for applications requiring a positive mechanical stop at the nipple. It is designed to land in a ROTRN Landing Nipple of the same size and shares the identical size range of 1.500" through 4.813" with the ROTR series. Like the ROTR , the ROTRN is available in three product code configurations: the standard Product Code 10 for sizes 1.500" through 2.875"; the Product Code 17 Interference Hold Down version for 1.781" through 2.875", which provides a positive latching structure minimizing the risk of the lock inadvertently releasing due to vibration at high flow rates; and the Product Code 18 Safety Spring version for 3.437" through 4.813", where the Shear Pin is pre-installed prior to running and lodges between the Expander Sleeve and Key Retainer once the lock is set. All assembly numbers, running tools, and pulling tools in the ROTRN series mirror those of the ROTR series. All sizes are available in a variety of materials suitable for downhole conditions. How to Order: Product Code 10 (standard), 17 (Interference Hold Down), or 18 (Safety Spring). Specify the nipple seal bore size, material, service conditions, and whether a Bottom Sub is required for the No-Go configuration. - ROTB & ROTH Equalizing Sub | Rebco Oil Tools, Inc.
Glossary ROTB & ROTH Equalizing Sub ROTB & ROTH Equalizing Sub The Rebco ROTB and ROTH Equalizing Subs are designed for use with subsurface controls such as Lock Mandrels, covering nominal sizes of 2", 2-1/2", and 3". Both subs are structurally identical, with the single distinction that the ROTH has a larger minimum ID, making it suitable for applications requiring a larger equalization flow area. The ROTB carries an effective orifice plate area of .003", while the ROTH uses .006"; a third variant with a .011" orifice plate area is also available in the same nominal sizes and shares the same overall dimensions as the ROTB and ROTH . All sizes are constructed from Stainless Steel and require a running or pulling equalizing prong for operation. The equalization is achieved by the prong engaging the internal orifice plate valve and opening a small, controlled flow path across the lock mandrel and flow control device, allowing pressure to gradually bleed off before retrieval is attempted. Both Box and Pin thread connections are offered on the same sub-assembly, with thread sizes of 1 3/16"-14 for the 2" size, 1 9/16"-12 for the 2-1/2" size, and 2"-12 for the 3" size, consistent across the ROTB , ROTH , and the .011" variant. All versions have a uniform length of 4.25" across all nominal sizes. How to Order: Product Code 20. Specify nominal size (2", 2-1/2", or 3"), orifice size (.003" ROTB , .006" ROTH , or .011" variant), material, and service conditions.
